Copying files to a disk recorder

Transferring the rendered images


To use the disk_recorder utility, you must use the command line:

  1. Start the command line by choosing Programs > Command Prompt from the main Start menu.
  1. At the prompt that appears, type the command to transfer the files to the disk recorder. Its syntax is:
disk_recorder arguments files
where the arguments are as follows:

-h host

Name of host to which the disk recorder is attached

-p prefix

Prefix given to copied files' names - typically the pathname of the disk recorder on its host - or none if none required

-r r_suffix

Suffix given to copied files' frame numbers on disk recorder, or none if none required

-l l_suffix

Suffix to match when files specifies a directory, or none if all files to be copied

-n start

Frame number used for first file copied to disk recorder

-d digits

Number of digits in copied files' frame numbers on disk recorder

and where the files can be one of the following:
To see the order in which the files will be copied, type:
cd directory
echo
*.l_suffix
For example:
cd /fs/ScratchDisc/AnimoRenders/StreetGirl01
echo *.yuv
You may need to prefix the command with the full pathname of disk_recorder script. For example, if it's in its normal location of C:\Program Files\CAS\Animo\bin, you would instead type:
C:\Program Files\CAS\Animo\bin\disk_recorder arguments files
